Is Wolf the same as Sub-Zero?
They are sister brands under the same parent company, but they cover different appliances. Wolf is the cooking side — ranges, rangetops, cooktops, wall ovens, steam ovens, microwaves, and warming drawers. Sub-Zero is the refrigeration side. We service both, plus Cove dishwashers, so a mixed Novato kitchen stays with one team.
Do you fix Wolf refrigerators?
Wolf does not make refrigerators, freezers, or wine storage at all — that is its sister brand Sub-Zero. If you have a built-in fridge or wine column that looks like it matches your Wolf range, it is almost certainly a Sub-Zero. Yes, we repair those, but on our Sub-Zero page rather than this Wolf cooking page.
Are you an authorized or factory-certified Wolf service center?
No. We are an independent repair company that has focused on Wolf cooking equipment since 2005. We use genuine OEM parts and know these platforms deeply, but we are not manufacturer-authorized or factory-certified by Wolf and we never claim to be. For most out-of-warranty Novato homeowners that means faster scheduling and direct answers.
Which parts of Novato do you cover?
All of it — Hamilton Field and the rebuilt airbase blocks, the ranch homes across the Indian Valley hills, Pointe Marin, Ignacio near the 101, and the lagoon houses of Bel Marin Keys. Novato is a standing stop on our north-Marin route, so most addresses get a prompt visit with the parts a Wolf call usually needs already on the truck.
Why does my Wolf burner click but struggle to light in Novato?
Two local causes are common. North of the fog belt, Novato's long, dry, hot summers bake carbon onto the igniter electrodes so the spark can't bridge cleanly. On the Bel Marin Keys lagoons, brackish air corrodes those same electrodes. Let the burner cool, dry and reseat the cap, and clear the igniter port. If it still clicks, the electrode or spark module likely needs replacing, and we trace which it is.
Do you handle both gas and dual-fuel Wolf ranges, plus induction?
Yes. We work all-gas GR ranges, dual-fuel DF ranges, SRT rangetops, CG sealed-gas cooktops, and CI induction surfaces, covering ignition, burner tuning, induction boards, and the oven cavity on each. On a dual-fuel range that has gone half-dead, we test the 240V supply legs first, since a dead oven with a working cooktop often means a lost leg rather than a failed board.
Do you repair Wolf wall ovens and convection steam ovens?
Yes. We service M-Series and E-Series wall ovens — convection, the bake and broil elements, the RTD sensor, the self-clean latch, and the control — plus the CSO convection steam oven, including its steam generator, level sensors, drain path, descale faults, and door seal. The harder inland water around Novato tends to leave more scale, so we descale and check the water path as part of that work.
What does Wolf appliance repair cost in Novato, and how soon can you come?
It depends on the unit and the part. A spark electrode or RTD probe is modest, while a main control board sits higher. We diagnose first, then give you a clear written price before any work begins, so you decide with the full picture. Because Novato is on our regular north-Marin route, scheduling is usually quick and common ignition and sensor repairs finish in one visit. Call (415) 683-1487 to book.
